About
The popular Armed Forces Family Fun Day is set to return to Telford as part of the national Armed Forces Day celebration.
The event taking place at Broadoaks Playing Field in Donnington will be jam packed with activities and entertainment for all the family including sports, crafts, live music, military groups and cadets plus much more.
Armed Forces Family Day is a family fun day for the whole community and is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.
It also marks the culmination of a week of celebrations, beginning on Monday 24 June, when the public show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces community and includes Reserves Day (26 June), which provides the country with an opportunity to recognise our Reserve Forces.
The event hosted by Telford & Wrekin Council culture and events team will include circus skills, historical activities, Civil War Re-enactment display, Roar Martial Arts, donkey petting area, crafts, wheelchair basketball, character walkabouts, food and drink vendors plus local groups and military organisations. Mickey Bushell MBE Paralympic Gold Medallist will also be at the event with his very own challenge for visitors to compete in.
