Weston park is home to a world renowed art collection, a magnificent stately home, one epic Woodland Advneture Playground and 1,000 acres of glorious Capability Brown parkland for you to explore and enjoy.
Weston Park was gifted to the nation in 1986 alongside 1,000 acres of parkland. Weston PArk is now owned and maintained by the Westom Park Foundation - an independent charitable trust.
The Woodland Adventure Playground and The Park and Gardens
Weston Park has 1,000 acres of parkland for you to enjoy - from the Formal Gardens to Temple Wood, each area of the park includes something new for you to discover.
Temple Wood is part of Weston’s extensive grounds and is one of the jewels in the crown of Capability Brown’s work, Capability Brown designed the Temple Wood Pleasure Ground as a relaxing haven for the Bridgeman family. Within the woodland, visitors can enjoy a stroll, spot the wildlife that makes its home in the scenery, and see a host of historic sights.
In addition to exploring the natural delights of Temple Wood, families can enjoy the highly popular Woodland Adventure Playground. Complete with trampolines, sand pits, swings, slides and even one of the countries longest double zipwires - it's the perfect place to run wild through the historic woodland.
The House and Collection
The House at Weston Park is home to a world-famous collection of art and a rich family history.
From the Front Hall with its legacy to the 3rd Earls love of horses, the Victorian Library furnished with over 3,000 books, the unique Gobelin tapestries to the lofty Dining room which houses one of the most important collections of Van Dyck portraits – the House is open on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer months.
The Granary Restaurant
From lazy lunches to special occasions, The Granary Restaurant is home to delicious homecooked food.
Weston’s award-winning Head Chef, Anna Jones, leads a team of passionate and talented chefs who create delicious dishes daily using the finest local and seasonal produce.
Menus reflect the changing seasons from local asparagus and spring lamb to estate reared venison and warm apple crumble. There are crowd pleasers aplenty including the Weston Burger and a traditional Sunday roast with vegetables straight from the Walled Garden.
The Rose Paterson Art Gallery
The Rose Paterson Art Gallery, located on the top floor of the 1767 Granary building, displays new and exciting exhibitions each month with multiplw works for sale. The Rose Paterson Art Gallery is open from 11am - 4pm daily and is free od charge to enter.
