We love shopping in Telford and we are proud to be home to six market towns each distinctive but all truly independent.
We are also home to one of the biggest and best Shopping centres in the UK, with over 160 shops from designer brands to fashion and lifestyle favourites. The leisure quarter of Southwater with its urban square, restaurants and cafes, parklands and leisure attractions surround the centre creating a shopping and entertainment resort.

Take a stroll through the world famous Ironbridge Gorge and down the great Wharfage where you will find streets flourishing with artisan and independent shops, from magical toy stores, galleries, arts and crafts shops and antique and vintage centres. Visit Jackfield and its famous Jackfield Tile museum and find mastercrafters creating for palaces, cathedrals and communities across the UK and World, from a sculptor to the Queen, a wood artist to the Vatican and one of the oldest decorative tile makers with installations in London, New York and New Zealand.
Discover Maws Craft Centre, an artisan community set in a magical courtyard. Explore shops and studies with jewellery makers, textile designers, restorers, artists and even the studio of J&Co, home to the famous works of Jay Blades.
The historic market town of Newport with its broad high street has independent shopping at its best. Explore the famous indoor Newport Market hall, dating back to 1860, this historic building is packed with artisan market stalls as well as a flourishing food market with a fine fishmonger, butchers, chocolatiers, a craft pastry maker and fresh fruit and veg.
Stroll through streets of Wellington is one of the oldest market towns and its Market Hall established in 1244 is a hive of shopping with indoor and outdoor stalls a food court, seasonal bazaar and a regular nightime market with street food and live music. The winding streets that embrace the town around its market square are bustling with artisan cafes, restaurants, independent food, lifestyle and artisan stores as well as some of the best hair and beauty studios so you can be pampered.
