Telford Balloon Fiesta is back this August Bank Holiday – and it’s set to be bigger, brighter, and more exciting than ever! Taking place from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 August 2025, this unmissable event promises high-flying thrills, family-friendly activities, and free entertainment all weekend long in the heart of Telford Town Park’s QEII Arena.
Friday Night Glow – A magical start to the weekend
The festivities kick off on Friday 22 Augustwith the iconic Night Glow. Expect live music, family fun and entertainment all evening – before the skies light up with a mesmerising display of glowing hot air balloons set to music. This event is ticketed, with sales opening in July 2025 – so mark your calendar! Last year sold out quickly, with over 19,000 link clicks.
Weekend Line-up: So much to see and do
The Telford Balloon Fiesta Weekender runs on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August, from 12pm–7pm each day. Expect action-packed displays in the QEII Arena, including:
- The Wings Parachute Team flying in at 12 noon both days
- Stanage Stunt Team performing jaw-dropping tricks
- Balloon tethering displays – get up close to the balloons
And for the little ones, the Kids Zone is full of excitement:
- Animatronic dinosaurs
- Storm In a Tea Cup Circus
- Emma’s Donkeys
- Creative workshops and crafts
- Archery and Crazy Golf
- Boardroom Café “have-a-go” activities
Live music from 12–6pm, tasty food and drink stalls, and a dedicated Montessori Rainbow zone for feeding and changing make this a relaxed day out for the whole family.
Sunday’s extra special celebration
Sunday also includes our Telford Community Carnival Day, with a vibrant parade, community showcases, and participatory dance workshops to get involved in!
Hot Air Balloon launches – A spectacle in the sky
Weather permitting, balloon launches will take place at 6am and 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday – a breathtaking sight worth setting your alarm for.
