Tickets are now on sale for Christmas celebrations at Ironbridge Valley of Invention. From carolling and panto-style entertainment to festive food and drink, hands-on crafts and, of course, the chance to meet Father Christmas, there will be a range of festive events and activities for all the family.

WORKSHOP – Christmas Ceramics
Coalport China Museum
Sunday 24 November 2024, 11am-3pm

At this festive workshop, the opportunity to create ceramic Christmas decorations with the help of Coalport China Museum’s team of demonstrators. From baubles and gingerbread houses to Santas and snowmen, attendees’ festive creations will be perfect to decorate homes this Christmas or as a unique gift to that special someone on Christmas morning.

FOOD & DRINK/FAMILIES – Breakfast with Santa
The Furnace Kitchen, Coalbrookdale
Saturday 14 & Sunday 15, Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 December 2024

At this special Christmas event, families will be able to combine a yummy breakfast with the chance to meet Father Christmas. On the menu will be classics like a Full English Breakfast and Eggs Benedict as well as seasonal gingerbread pancakes. Father Christmas will mingle with guests as they eat.

Two sittings at 9am-10.45am and 10.45am-12.00pm. Tickets cost £15.00 per person (adult or child 14 and under) and include breakfast, the opportunity to take a photograph with Father Christmas and a present for each child. Pre-booking required. www.thefurnacekitchen.org.uk/


FOOD & DRINK – Christmas Nights
The Furnace Kitchen, Coalbrookdale
Fridays 6, 13 & 20 December 2024

The Furnace Kitchen will open its doors on Friday evenings in December for a series of themed evenings focused on food for sharing. FAMILIES / CHRISTMAS - Victorian Christmas Weekends
Blists Hill Victorian Town
Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 and Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 December, 10-4pm

The festive spirit returns to Blists Hill Victorian Town. The town’s streets and buildings will be filled with traditional decorations, while festive music from a band and choir ring out through the air. There will be four Christmas Grottos where children will be able to meet Father Christmas in unique settings like the Victorian mine and sawmill, while in the Victorian schoolroom children will be able to take lessons to learn how to be a Christmas Elf. There will be the chance to learn about Christmas past from the town’s costumed demonstrators and enjoy live entertainment during the panto-style show. Last-minute shoppers will be able to take advantage of the Christmas Emporium to buy unique gifts and stocking-fillers including delicious foods and local-made crafts.

Tickets cost £25.20 to £28.00 for adults and £14.40 to £16 for children (16 and under). Additional charge for Christmas Grottos and Elf School Experience. Pre-booking at www.ironbridge.org.uk



FAMILIES – Christmas Lates
Blists Hill Victorian Town
Wednesdays 11, 18 & 19 December 2024, 6-9pm

On the evenings of 11, 18 and 19 December, Blists Hill will host Christmas Lates, an opportunity to experience the festive cheer of a Dickensian Christmas after dark. Characters from Dickens’ Christmas favourite A Christmas Carol will make an appearance on the streets of the Victorian town as visitors sip on mulled wine or hot chocolate and listen to carol singers or a live band. The town’s shops, adorned in festive decorations, will sell unique Christmas gifts.

FAMILIES / CHRISTMAS – Calm Christmas Grotto

One of Blists Hill Victorian Town’s Christmas Grottos will host dementia-friendly sessions dedicated to the 'young at heart' and sessions dedicated to families with children or young people with SEND. Additional charges apply. Pre-booking at www.ironbridge.org.uk
