About
Welcome to The Barn at Lees Farm located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ironbridge Gorge.
We believe in business done sustainably, from being environmentally friendly, to where we shop and how we shop, our amenities, onsite bio diversity and our overall impact on the world around us. We are constantly reassessing how we can improve on our current policy for example swapping consumables for more Eco alternatives. We try to do as much as we can and encourage local travel by offering discounts to those in TF and SY postcodes, we also offer a discount to those travelling by train or bicycle. Please get in touch for more details.
The Yurt at Lees Farm gives you a generous space with a double cast iron bed & 2 single camp beds if required. Heating is provided by a wood burner in the yurt, which is lined with felt to allow for year round stays. There is a separate gas shower and composting loo.
This is an off grid experience that helps you create memories of Firepit cooking and languishing in our Wood Fired Hot Tub (please note this is an extra charge). You can cook using the firepit, gas stove, BBQ or enquire about the host providing an evening one pot meal, fireside sharing platter or BBQ hamper ready when you return from your day out exploring. Or delivering a breakfast hamper to the door in the morning.
There is a BBQ available to use, also a firepit and pizza oven.

The contemporary UK yurtmakers, local to us, hold a great respect for the craftsmen of Central Asia, and found no reason to alter the fundamental yurt design which has worked well for centuries. However they are excited to be part of a modern trend developing a new vernacular ‘UK-yurt’, suitable for our own climate and conditions Our own style of yurt with its high curved rafters, domed roof and elegant steam-bent crown bears a close resemblance to its Turkmen or Kazakh descendants but is made with appropriate materials and modern technology.
