As part of Merrythought’s 95th anniversary celebrations, a special exhibition opens at the historic Museum of the Gorge in Ironbridge from 12 April to 28 September 2025 – and it’s completely free to visit.

Just a short stroll from the iconic Merrythought teddy bear factory, this first-of-its-kind exhibition tells the remarkable story of the British company that has been handmaking teddy bears for nearly a century.

Visitors can explore:

- The history of Merrythought through four generations of family craftsmanship

- A showcase of classic and iconic teddy bear designs

- An interactive activity and learning area for children and families

- A fun photo booth with a giant Merrythought bear

With Ironbridge’s heritage, shops and attractions nearby, it’s the perfect day out for all ages.
