About
Embark on a fascinating journey of discovery to explore the habitats, diets, and movement patterns of British mammals. Join The Severn Gorge Countryside Trust (SGCT) for a unique workshop that combines classroom-based learning with immersive experiences in the great outdoors.
Led by SGCT knowledgeable workshop tutor, Sam Devine-Turner, an enthusiastic ecologist, environmental educator, and tracker, you'll learn to connect with your senses and develop the skills needed to identify and interpret tracks and signs left behind by mammals. By the end of the session, you'll feel confident in recognising footprints, burrows, feeding signs, and other clues that reveal their movements and activities.
Sam's passion for the natural world is infectious, and she creates a supportive and engaging environment for participants of all ages. Her teachings encourage curiosity, mindfulness, and playful interaction with nature.
Hosted by the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust, a local charity dedicated to promoting and conserving the living landscape of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to support a worthy cause while deepening your connection with nature.
