Here at Vine Willow Wood, we host an array of maker led workshops, inspiring people with the art of willow weaving.  

As well as our calendar of workshops we can create a Bespoke Willow Workshop for you, whether you are a tour group seeking an authentic local craft experience, a family party looking to make and create something together or a delegation looking for a unique team building activity, we offer something for all.  

Workshops are hosted by our founder Daisy Askins, and with her expert skills and tuition she will take you on a journey to create your very own woven sculpture, structures or basket.

Our workshops range from 2 hour, half day and full day events depending on the scale of what you are creating, from a simple woven decoration to more advanced traditional baskets and sculptures. All workshops are suitable for beginners and can be tailored to the needs and preferences of your group. We will build your confidence and skills and work with you step by step to create your very own intricate woven willow piece.  You will learn to work with the raw beauty of willow and build prowess in crafting, weaving and sculpting.  

Many of the workshops are hosted in Vine Willow Wood makers studio where you will be surrounded by the natural willow with its distinctively beautiful scent and form. Our studio is located at Maws Craft Villages in the heritage heart of Jackfield in what is fast becoming the artisan quarter of the world-famous Ironbridge Gorge. We are surrounded by artisans, makers and creators and our courtyard setting is a great place for those seeking a more unique and creative and vibrant shopping experience.  

We are also pleased to host workshops at nearby nature hubs including Severn Gorge Countryside Trust and some of our National Trust locations across the county of Shropshire, as well as at private venues.
