Telford Town Park is a multi award-winning park located in the heart of Telford and close to Southwater leisure and entertainment district and the retail destination of Telford Shopping Centre. The park is also a gateway to the Irobridge Gorge World Heritage Site via the famou Silkin Way cycle and walking trail.
Voted the UK's Best Park in 2015, today this muti award winning attraction is one of the top Urban Parklands and Nature Reserves in the UK.
There is so much to do, see and explore in the park, whether you just have 1 hour or a full day, the park is filled with entertainment and discovery and at over 450 acres, its vast and rich in content.
You will find one of the finest Nature Reserves, magical woodlands, beautiful gardens, adrenalin activities, tree top adventures, family parks and attractions, cycling and walking and so much more.
The highlight for families is the range of play areas. There is even a splash pad next to the lake which is open in the summer months. There is a toddlers area with a sandpit including manual diggers. Bigger kids will love the rocket slide and spiders web. This area is aimed at children age 7 over. There is also a tyre swing, balance beam and more.
The park features an all-inclusive play area. There is play equipment with wheelchair access. The trim trail is also popular with families and can be enjoyed by all age ranges and skill levels. There are also two multi-use games areas.
If you are brave enough the park has a high ropes course. Sky reach set in the park’s woodland and there is a charge to use this facility. There is also a 12 hole adventure golf course and a disc golf course (charges apply). The park boasts some beautiful gardens and also cycling routes. If you want to go for a walk you can follow the heritage or nature trail and discover some of the park’s hidden treasures. There is fishing on the lake.
Telford Town Park is also home to a number of attractions including Wonderland, the all new Exotic Zoo and the Bicycle Hub
