The Cock Hotel is the latest addition to the Joule's Brewery Taphouse Estate, a true flagship in our collection.

We have transformed this iconic ale house through a £1million restoration project into one of the region’s most popular dining, entertainment and live music venues.

The pub dates back over 250 years and was once one of the most famous of Coaching Inns in the 18th and 19th centuries on the old Roman Road, in the historic market town of Wellington. 

A classically English Country pub with stunning craft interiors and an iconic history, its charm and charisma makes this a great place for a real ale, a relaxed Lunch with family or Dinner or night out with Friends with regular live music.  

Take a seat in one of our many bars all restored to their former glory by master craftsman Eddie Chapman Smith.  Dine in our brand new oak crafted extension with its contemporary bi-fold doors leading out onto our beautiful courtyard. 

The Cock Hotel is a great place for every season.  Cosy up in winter in one of our bars with their open fires or enjoy outdoor summer dining and drinks in our courtyard. 

And with the famous Wrekin Hill range on our doorstep, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Cock Hotel is a great place where walkers are welcome to recharge and enjoy great food, drink and hospitality.
