The best part? Most of the walks are completely free, while others have a small fee that is well worth it for the experience. You'll have a week of opportunity to discover hidden gems, take in breath-taking views, and learn about the history and culture of our beautiful destination.

No matter which walks you choose, you can expect to be led by knowledgeable guides who are passionate about sharing their love for Telford's landscape and heritage. And with routes and terrain to suit all abilities, you can rest assured that everyone in your group will have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

This walk visits Admaston, Shawbirch, Bratton and Dothill Local Nature Reserve. The walk is all on tarmac pavements and good paths. It is suitable for pushchairs and many wheel chairs, although here are some slopes that some wheel chair users may find challenging.

Join us a for a short walk looking at the historic features and wildlife at Granville Local Nature Reserve, a site with a strong industrial past but with a future now dedicated to biodiversity. From established woodlands to open meadows the route will showcase panoramic views, bird life, butterflies and hopefully a sighting or two of some of our local rarest species.

Comfortable shoes with reasonable grip will be required, as will dressing for the weather on the day. The walk will be suited for all ages and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Join Telford and East Shropshire Ramblers for a leisurely paced morning ramble with highlights from the T50 Trail, Hutchison Way and two Coronation Walks. The lovely Limekiln Wood and Small Wood, meadows, parks and pools are all under an hour's walk away from the newly developed Lawley Village. You may glimpse the wild deer herd that lives around here too. The views are stunning from around New Works with wide the open vistas across the Shropshire Plain and towards Brown Clee for which this walk is famed. Lots of interesting local history to see with a listed old tramway bridge, well and remnants of past industrial activity and railways.
Length 5.6m, moderate difficulty

A circular walk from the Toll House Ironbridge, through some of the Broseley Jitties, passing “The Red Church” and down “Corbetts Dingle” (could be muddy) to the Boat Inn (Drinks available) where there will be a short presentation covering the “Coalport Ferry Disaster”. Return to the Toll House along the Severn Way. The walk includes several seldom used footpaths.

Lyreco are one of Telford's biggest single employer and this site is their local workplace distributor headquarters. Join Telford and East Shropshire Ramblers on a fascinating walk and insight into how 'sustainability' can be incorporated in many ways that foster staff wellbeing and the bottom line, as well as helping the environment. You'll see the 14,000 solar rooftop arrays, electric vehicles buzzing about the warehouse and bees buzzing about the ecological garden. We visit wildflower meadows, old canals and blast furnaces, new pools and impressive ruins with birds, bats, butterflies and at this time of year froglets and tadpoles. We also climb to the 'top of the world' to see across Shropshire and into Wales.

18+ only, no children are permitted due to factory health and safety regulations. No dogs, as there are steep steps and narrow pathways, on both the factory tour and the countryside walk. Please wear robust trainers, walking shoes or similar, as the walk includes some woodland, field and rough surfaced paths. Booking is essential as places are limited to 17 walkers. This walk is approx 3.5 miles.

Walk part of one of the cross borough walks, the Silkin Way or the Telford T50 50 Mile Trail, converging on the Town Park visitor centre for light refreshments as the finale of Telford Walk Week. Join us on one of six main walks, with a choice of 25 starting points, to converge on Telford Town Park at 3 pm to mark the culmination of Telford Walk Week . Five of the walks use either the Telford T50 50 Mile Trail or the Silkin Way and the sixth, the Randlay Valley Telford Coronation Walk starts at the T50 sign at 1 pm and requires no booking.Timetable of events is below and you can book your free space HERE
